CMI – Strategic Management | New Business Enterprise | Self Employment Level 2 & 3

The EDI level 3 NVQ in Starting a New Business Enterprise is an up-to date qualification that has been developed in line with industry needs and provides candidates with the essential knowledge and competence required to set up and run a small business. Candidates achieving this qualification will be equipped with the skills and knowledge required to work within a small business industry as well as gaining skills that are transferable to other vocations in which they can progress onto a level 4 qualifications. The EDI Level 3 NVQ in Starting a New Business Enterprise has been developed from the business enterprise National Occupational Standards produced by Sfedi.
 Qualification Structure To achieve the EDI Level 3 NVQ in Starting a New Business Enterprise, learners must complete the following 7 mandatory Units.
Mandatory Units (7 Units):
- Check the likely success of a business idea
- Achieve the goals for your business
- Win and keep customers
- Build relationships to build your business
- Decide on the financial needs of your business
- Plan how you will sell your products or services
- Check your ability to run your business
Assessment:
A portfolio of evidence, (e.g. mind map, self assessment questionnaire, short report, production of plan, witness statement or observation checklist or peer evaluation, notes), which meets the learning outcomes
Course duration:
- 6 months course – 60 guided learning hours of one evening a week
Entry requirements:
- No formal qualifications are required however any applicant to this course must have access to work based placement
Costs:
- This course costs GBP589 and includes all course materials, certification and refreshments

- London (Wembley). Our training facilities are conveniently located within a walking distance from Wembley Park and Wembley Central tube stations as well as Wembley Stadium station. We are close to the M1 and North Circular (map)
