CMI – Introductory Certificate In Neighbourhood Management | Certificate in Housing
This course is suitable for anyone wishing to enter into the housing profession or is currently in the housing profession and would like a introductory vocational qualification. This course suits those thinking about a career in the housing sector or those already working in housing and who want to improve prospects or prepare for further study.

The CIH Level 2 Certificate in Housing is an introductory vocational qualification for the housing sector, which is broadly equivalent/comparable to a GCSE (grades A-C).

Content of the training:
- Unit 1: Housing Provision and Housing Organisations
- Unit 2: Customer Care and Communication Skills for Housing
- Unit 3: Careers and Opportunities in Housing
- Unit 4: Developing Skills for Working in Housing What neighbourhood

Assessment:
Assessment is through assignments, class work, group work and oral presentations (75%). The remaining 25% is assessed by the Chartered Institute of Housing; the assessment task takes the form of a written report
Course duration:
- The course is delivered over a period of 14 weeks
Entry requirements:
- There are no formal entry requirements for entry onto this course however candidates for this course must have a good level of English language, they also need to sit an aptitude test and attend an interview
Suggested progression:
- It can lead to the CIH Level 3 Award in Housing or the CIH Level 3 National Certificate in Housing. It may also be possible to progress to other Level 3 qualifications in areas such as the care sector
