This 8 month DTLLS qualification is required for teachers/tutors and assessors who work in the lifelong learning sector in a 'full teaching' role, and leads to Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS). It gives a recognised teachers status both in the UK and overseas.

The DTLLS course will provide you with the knowledge and skills required for a full teaching role within only 8 months. STRC Management Centre will enable you to get DTLLS qualification faster than anywhere else through personalised intensive and interactive sessions.

This course will successfully lead you to Qualified Teacher Learning Skills Status (QTLS) to provide new opportunities in the teaching profession.

To facilitate learning and helping you enhance your teaching skills, you will benefit from our own fully equipped filming and training facilities.

Content of the training:
  • Planning and Enabling Learning
  • Enabling learning and assessment
  • Theories and principles for planning and enabling learners
  • Continuing personal and professional development
  • Curriculum development for inclusive practice
  • Wider professional practice

Optional unit (Level 4):

  • Inclusive practice
  • Managing and responding to behaviours in a learning environment

Optional unit (level 5):

  • Developing and managing resources in the Lifelong learning sector

    Highly interactive face-to-face training days
    Optional workshops to support assignments
    Individual tutorial support
    Distance learning is built into the programme

Assessment:
This course will be assessed by 8 unit assignments, an ongoing reflective journal and a teaching practice portfolio involving 150 hours of teaching and being observed on 8 occasions.

Course duration:

  • the first sixth months will comprise of two days a month teaching followed by two months of individual tutorials and submission of   assignments.

Entry requirements:

  • Any applicant to this course must have PTLLS or its equivalent. If not, it is possible to undertake PTLLS courses with STRC Management Centre and progress to DTLLS

Costs:

  • this course costs GBP 1500 and includes all course materials, certification, refreshments and lunches.

  • London (Wembley). Our training facilities are conveniently located within a walking distance from Wembley Park and Wembley Central tube stations as well as Wembley Stadium station. We are close to the M1 and North Circular (map)
