  International Students
STRC Management Centre welcomes applications from international students.

STRC Management Centre has developed a flourishing international community programme which brings together students from all over the world. In today’s increasingly global environment we welcome the valuable social and cultural contribution of our international students.

As well as delivering the programme that meets the needs of the international students the Centre provides academic and social support to overseas students.

Visa and Entry Information
If your country is a member of the EEA (EU plus Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein) you will not need to apply for a student visa.

Application from outside the EEA
Most students from a country outside the EEA will need a student visa to study in the UK.

Application forms and advice regarding the visa process are available from www.ukvisas.gov.uk or your local British Council office; please note that some countries have different procedures for the visa application.

The following requirements are mandatory for student visa applications
  • A completed visa application form (VAF1) which is available from the UKVisas website
  • Original unconditional offer letter from STRC MC
  • Certificate of Acceptance from STRC MC (this will be sent to you once you have accepted our offer)
  • Proof of qualifications - the visa office will want to see original certificates to prove you have the appropriate qualifications
  • Proof that you (or your sponsor) has the available funds to afford the course fees and your living expenses while in the UK (evidence of government sponsorship, bank statements, payslips or other evidence).
Students are subject to different student fees depending upon whether they are Home or EU members. In very general terms, Home and EU students are those:
  • Persons who have permanent residence in the UK and have been resident in the UK for three years
  • European Economic Area (EEA) migrant workers and their families in the UK who have lived in the EEA for three years
  • EU nationals and their children who have lived in the EEA for three years
  • Refugees (recognised by the UK government) and their families
  • Persons who applied for asylum and as a result have been granted Exceptional Leave, Humanitarian Protection or Discretionary Leave, and their families
Further information can be viewed on the Council for International Education (UKCOSA) website.
